Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong was invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of the 2nd Global Research Congress of Sindh Madressatul Islam University on February 28, 2024.

CG Yang congratulated the university for holding the research congress, elaborated on the profound connotation of the "Global Development Initiative" and China's concept of sustainable development, introduced China's outstanding achievements in the fields of climate change, green energy, artificial intelligence, etc, and hoped to further promote people-to-people exchanges and scientific and technological cooperation with the Pakistan.

The participants spoke highly of China's great development achievements in the field of emerging science and technology, and expressed their wish to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Chinese universities and scientific research institutions, learn from China's advanced experience, and promote the economic and social development of Pakistan.

Sindh Madressatul Islam University is one of the earlier established modern institutions of higher education in South Asia, where the Founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah studied. Dozens of experts and scholars from Russia, US, Malaysia and other countries were invited to participate in the congress.
