Consul General H.E Yang Yundong paid a courtesy call on Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, member of Provincial Assembly of Sindh from Pakistan Peoples Party and also the new Minister of Health and Population Welfare Department of Sindh on April 1, 2024.

CG Yang congratulated Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho on her assumption of office, saying that China-Pakistan friendship is deeply rooted in the heart of the people and Pakistan Peoples Party has made important contributions to the development of China-Pakistan relations. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has achieved fruitful outcomes, and the two sides are working actively to build an "upgraded version" of the CPEC. China is willing to work with the Sindh government to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of medicine and health and build a " Livelihood Corridor" to bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho expressed deep condolences for the victims in the terrorist attack on the Dasu Hydropower project, and thanked China for the valuable support of vaccines and medicines during the pandemic, and said that the Sindh province attaches great importance to the development of health and hopes to continue to strengthen practical cooperation with relevant Chinese departments on health education, medical equipment, vaccine procurement, drug discovery and so on, and promote the high-quality development of the "Livelihood Corridor".
