On July 30, 2024, the Consulate General in Karachi and representatives of Chinese enterprises and nationals in the consular district held a security meeting with the Sindh police. Over 30 participants attended the meeting, including relevant diplomats from the Consulate General, Sindh senior police officers and Karachi international airport security staffs.

The participants had in-depth communication on issues concerning the security protection of Chinese people. The Consulate General commended the police for actively listening to the security concerns of Chinese personnel and making efforts to improve security measures, and urged the police to further enhance their service awareness to provide a safe, reliable, and convenient working and living environment for Chinese personnel. The police representatives expressed their commitment to prioritizing the safety of Chinese personnel, further improving security measures, and continually enhancing security levels. Representatives of Chinese enterprises and nationals stated that they would strengthen communication with the Consulate General and the police, strictly abide by local laws and regulations, and actively cooperate with law enforcement, contributing to the friendship between China and Pakistan.
