On August 9, 2024, Acting Consul General in Karachi Zhang Hao, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 2nd International Food & Agriculture Exhibition and related activities. The exhibition was organized by Pakistan's Ministry of Commerce and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, with participation of over 650 buyers from more than 70 countries worldwide. Prime Minister of Pakistan， Shehbaz Sharif, along with the Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh Province and several federal ministers, attended the opening ceremony.

During the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz hosted a special banquet for the Chinese delegation. He noted that agriculture is a pillar industry in Pakistan with great potential and expressed a desire to strengthen cooperation with China in areas such as agricultural production technology, training, and agricultural machinery. The goal is to enhance the added value of Pakistan's agricultural products and further expand agricultural exports.

Acting Consul General Zhang Hao thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz for taking the time to host the Chinese delegation. He emphasized the fruitful results of China-Pakistan agricultural cooperation in recent years and expressed China's willingness to continue strengthening cooperation in agricultural science and technology innovation, green agriculture, and other fields. He also pledged that China will try to increase imports of Pakistani agricultural products, to further promote the development of the two countries' ironclad friendship.
