Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong met with Inspector General of Police Sindh Mr Ghulam Nabi Memon and held talks with officials from Karachi Police and Special Security Police On September 20, 2024.

CG Yang expressed appreciation for the recent efforts made by the Sindh Police to strengthen the security of Chinese personnel, projects and institutions, and hoped that the police would respond positively to the security requirements of Chinese side and continue to take effective security measures to create a safer and more predictable environment for Chinese personnel and institutions to work and live in Pakistan. Chinese Consulate General is willing to further deepen cooperation between the Sindh Police and the Chinese police in such areas as capacity building and police cooperation.

Mr. Memon introduced recent strengthening of security measures related to Chinese people by the Sindh province, and said that the Sindh police always attaches great importance to the security of Chinese personnel, institutions and projects, and is willing to take China's opinions and suggestions and take all necessary measures to strictly prevent China-related security incidents. Mr. Memon also looked forward to strengthening exchanges with the Chinese police.
