On November 25, 2024, Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong met with Syed Naveed Qamar, Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentary leader and Chairman of Finance and Revenue Committee of the National Assembly, Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and other members of the National Assembly from PPP.

CG Yang appreciated the PPP's long-term commitment to developing China-Pakistan friendly relations and its active support for the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said that the Communist Party of China(CPC) is willing to continue to promote inter-party cooperation with the PPP, strengthen the exchange of governance experience, deepen communication and coordination between the legislative bodies of the two countries, and push forward the in-depth development of China-Pakistan cooperation in various fields.

The members recalled with passion the profound friendship forged by the older generation of leaders of Pakistan and China, and said that the PPP appreciates China's active support for the development of Pakistan's cause in various fields, and will, as always, support the development of Pakistan-China relations and the construction of CPEC, strengthen party-to-party exchanges with CPC, deepen cooperation between the two legislatures, and consolidate the iron-clad friendship between the two countries.
