On December 11, 2024, the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari met with a Chinese private business delegation at his residence in Karachi, accompanied by Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah. Consul General Yang Yundong was invited to attend the meeting.

Zardari spoke highly of the friendship between China and Pakistan, saying that the two countries are "Hip-on-hip" brotherly countries that have always supported each other on issues concerning their respective core interests. The two sides have made major achievements in the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which benefits the two peoples. Pakistan Peoples Party has always attached importance to developing relations with China, and the older generation of leaders of the two parties have laid a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations. Pakistan welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest in Pakistan and will do their best to provide support and convenience and create a good business and living environment.

CG Yang thanked President Zardari for taking the time to meet with the Chinese business delegation and said that China is willing to work with Pakistan to implement the consensus between the two countries’ leaders, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in economic, cultural and other fields and push bilateral relations to a new level.
