On January 16, 2025, Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong met with Chief Collector of Karachi Customs Jamil Nasir, and the Customs Collector of Appraisement (West), the Customs Collector of Appraisement (SAPT), and the Customs Collector of Appraisement Port Qasim attended the meeting. The two sides exchanged views on China-Pakistan economic and trade exchanges and cooperation and improving the level of customs clearance facilitation.
CG Yang said that China's high-quality economic development has made new progress, and the long-term positive trend of economic development has been continuously consolidated and strengthened. China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation has great potential. It is expected that Pakistani customs will make greater contributions to promoting China-Pakistan trade facilitation and helping the in-depth development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. It is hoped that the customs departments of the two countries will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation.
Jamil positively commented China-Pakistan relations and said that Karachi Customs attaches great importance to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with China, and will continue to provide greater convenience for China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation and play a more positive role in the economic development of the two countries.
