Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong attended the Chinese New Year reception for Pakistani alumni of Chinese Universities

On January 24, 2025, the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi hosted a Chinese New Year reception for Pakistani alumni of Chinese Universities. Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong attended and delivered a speech. More than 80 people, including some universities’ Vice Chancellor in the consular area and representatives of alumni who have studied in China, attended the meeting.

CG Yang extended his best wishes for the Year of the Snake to the guests, saying that over the past year the Chinese economy has maintained stable and progressive growth, Chinese modernization has scored new achievements and China-Pakistan practical cooperation has moved forward steadily. Chinese Consulate General will continue to promote educational exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, and hopes that the alumni will leverage their strengths to contribute more significantly to the practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The alumni representatives fondly recalled the wonderful time of studying in China, saying that the experience in China has had an important and far-reaching impact on their career development and life planning. They praised China's leading position in socio-economic development and suggested that Pakistan should actively and comprehensively learn from China's successful experiences. They also expressed hope that more young Pakistani students would have the opportunity to study in China in the future.
