On February 8, 2025, Chinese Consulate General in Karachi held a handover ceremony of Solar Powered Systems for the livehood of Balochistan. Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong, Governor of Balochistan Shaikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Parliamentary Secretary for Energy Department of Balochistan Mir Ashghar Ali Rind and tribal representatives attended the ceremony.

CG Yang said that China-Pakistan cooperation is open to all parts of Pakistan and benefits all Pakistani people. This assistance is not only a vivid manifestation of all-weather friendship between China and Pakistan, but also a vivid example of China's support for the economic and social development of Balochistan, China will continue to implement small but smart livelihood projects in Balochistan. CG Yang hoped that Balochistan will further strengthen security measures to create a safe environment for bilateral cooperation.

Sheikh thanked China for the assistance, said that relevant equipment effectively improved the living conditions of local people and brought them light and hope, which has been widely welcomed. Balochistan hopes to deepen practical cooperation with China in various fields and continue to promote the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Pakistan-China friendship.

This solar powered systems project organized by Chinese Consulate General in Karachi, dozens of solar powered systems have been installed in Marri, Bugti and other tribes in Balochistan.
