From 29 April 2023 (local time), Rapid Antigen Self Test or PCR test within 48 hours before boarding will both be acceptable for passengers flying to China. Airlines will not check the test certificates before boarding. The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Karachi has updated its Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers. Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers

I. Travelers need to take a Rapid Antigen Self Test or PCR test within 48 hours before boarding, and can only travel to China when the test result is negative. Those who test positive need to postpone their travel until they get a negative result.

II. Travelers need to declare negative test result to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form on the WeChat mini-program of China Customs (scan the QR code below), at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn or via the China Customs APP.

III. Airlines will not check RAT or PCR test certificates before boarding.

IV. Passengers need to strictly abide by the airline’s epidemic prevention requirements and make proper self protection to reduce the infection risk.

V. Upon arrival in China, travelers need to use the China Customs health declaration code to complete entry procedures. Following health declaration and regular health inspection, travelers will be able to enter China. The Customs will conduct random testings according to a certain proportion.

Those declaring abnormalities in health declaration or showing symptoms such as fever will need to cooperate with the Customs to do epidemiological survey and medical screening and to receive sampling and testing for relevant infectious diseases.

VI. After entry, travelers need to strictly abide by the local epidemic prevention and control requirements.
