On October 28, 2025, the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi and the Pakistan Economic Diplomacy Forum jointly held a seminar on the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Around 70 people attended, including President of Economic Diplomacy Forum Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal, Director General of the Pakistan Foreign Ministry's Karachi Liaison Office Mr. Irfan Soomro, Rector of MITE Dr. Huma Baqai, as well as representatives from political, business, academic, and media sectors, and Consuls General of several countries in Karachi.

Consul General Yang Yundong introduced the key spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC and the main contents of the "15th Five-Year Plan," and elaborated on the successful path and inherent logic of China's economic development with long-term stability. He expressed that China and Pakistan should further implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, tap into development opportunities, foster growth momentum, share development dividends, and write a new chapter in the China-Pakistan community with a shared future.

Dr. Farooq and other guests expressed congratulation on the successful convening of the plenary session and highly praised the grand blueprint drawn up in the "15th Five-Year Plan". They emphasized that China is an engine of global economic growth, and Pakistan is willing to learn from China's development experience, seize opportunities presented by China's progress, and achieve mutual benefits and win-win cooperation with China.
