Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong Attends the "Diplomatic Bazaar" event in Karachi

On October 30, 2025, Chinese Consulate General in Karachi attended the first "Diplomatic Bazaar: Global Palate-Pakistani Soul: Taste without Borders" event, which was hosted by the Karachi Liaison Office of the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of Consulates General of 26 countries in Karachi. Consul General Yang Yundong, the Governor of Sindh, the Chief Minister, the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly and other prominent Sindh provincial dignitaries attended the event.

The Chinese Consulate General went to great lengths to decorate the booth, showcasing typical Chinese handicrafts such as bronze swords, Terracotta Warriors, and lacquer-carved vases, while preparing distinctive delicacies, which attracted a large number of crowd to stop and savor and earned wide appraisal for Chinese traditional culture and cuisine. CG Yang introduced the Chinese exhibits to the Chief Minister and other distinguished guests and invited them to take a bite of the specialty snacks.

In an interview with the media, CG Yang stated that the inaugural "Diplomatic Bazaar" provided a platform for various countries to showcase their national cultures, highlighting Karachi's unique status as Pakistan's economic and cultural center as well as a regional hub. China's active participation has enhanced interactions and communication with various sectors in the consular district, deepening mutual understanding and friendship.
