On April 8, 2026, Consul General Yang Yundong paid a courtesy call on Tariq Wazir, Director General (China), Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Islamabad. The two sides spoke highly of the all-weather friendship and all-round cooperation between China and Pakistan, and exchanged views on further strengthening practical cooperation between the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan and China in areas such as agriculture, industry, economy and trade. 

Mr. Wazir also stated that the relevant departments of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs will actively provide necessary assistance to the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi for performing its duties.
