The Consulate General in Karachi Held an Investment and Trade Seminar in Balochistan

On April 17, 2026, the Consulate General in Karachi, together with the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade and the Pakistan-China Economic and Cultural Association, jointly held a Balochistan Investment and Trade Seminar. Consul General Yang Yundong, Governor Sheikh of Balochistan, as well as over 70 representatives from the business community and media in the consular district attended the event.

Yang Yundong introduced the guiding principles of China's "Two Sessions," noting that the 15th Five-Year Plan outlines China's modernization blueprint for the next five years and provides important opportunities for countries around the world. He stated that under the framework of high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, China will strengthen cooperation with Balochistan in agriculture, industry, mining and other sectors, while promoting people-to-people exchanges. He also expressed the hope that the Pakistani side will further enhance security protection for Chinese personnel and projects.

Governor Sheikh spoke positively of China's important contributions to global economic development and expressed the expectation of attracting more Chinese enterprises to invest and cooperate in Balochistan. He affirmed the province's willingness to actively build platforms for communication and coordination, and pledged to make every effort to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and projects.
