On September 17, 2026, Acting Consul General of China in Karachi Feng Deheng met with Tariq Rafi, Chairman of the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC).

Acting Consul General Feng stated that in recent years China has continued to advance higher education and accelerate its transformation from a large educational country to an educational powerhouse, with its quality of education and international influence steadily enhanced. Educational cooperation is an important component of the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and serves as a fundamental project for cementing the ironclad friendship between the two countries. China supports Sindh's universities in deepening cooperation with Chinese universities in talent cultivation, academic exchanges and etc. So as to contribute its wisdom and strength to accelerating the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.

Tariq Rafi noted that China's achievements in higher education have attracted worldwide attention. Sindh attaches great importance to educational cooperation with China and is willing to give full play to the SHEC's bridging role, actively promote exchanges between universities on both sides, and continuously achieve new outcomes in Pakistan-China educational cooperation.
